Renewables

We were instructed to advise on potential renewable energy options across an estate. We identified suitable wind and solar opportunities on an area that would have minimal impact on agricultural tenants and neighbouring parties. We then carefully selected renewable energy companies whose objectives aligned with our clients. Terms have been agreed for a solar array and we are also negotiating terms for a number of wind turbines with the developer, in a way that is agreeable to the other land users and occupiers. We approached this project with a strong commercial focus, but also sensitively, aware that ensuring the buy-in of all interested parties would ensure the continuation of harmonious relationships. This complex initiative has turned the key on a substantial new income stream for the landowner and will improve financial returns at a time when agricultural incomes are under pressure.
